“Who’s looking for me?” I asked not to leave Talia alone. She was just getting better and I wanted to be there for her. I understand how hard it was for her to take care of the children by herself.

At the same time, I didn’t want her to see herself as weak because she was capable of raising the kids herself.

I’ve never actually seen her break down like this before and I understood that what they said got to her.

“Tell the person to see me later? Or who is the person who asked to see me?” I asked, uninterested.

“It’s Alpha Noah, he said he has to see you urgently ma’am.”

“I’ll see him soon and I don’t want to leave you alone Talia, till you’re okay,” I said in a tone of finality.

“You don’t need to do that, he probably wants to see you for something important, and don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. I just need some rest because I don’t want my kids to think something is wrong with me. Just go, don’t worry about me. Thank you.“ Talia said in a convincing tone.
