Aleister was about to grab another can of beer but her mother grabbed it from him.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with you but let me tell you one thing. Why would you watch someone disappear when you can do something about it? We have supernatural abilities that mortals don’t have. Why don’t you use it? Why would you choose to watch and lose someone? Mortals might not have their fate in their hands, but we do. We can change their fate, just like we can change ours.
