Beatrice sighed, watching the man walk to her.

He looked innocent but she could see through him. These were the kind of people her mother had warned her to avoid.

She was not a little girl before her mother's death. Although she had looked so small, she was mature enough to know the things that went through the mansion.

"Why would a lady such as yourself be all alone, Milady?" The man that had come to the upper stairs where she has taken for a rest asked.

Beatrice didn't want to refuse a man a dance thereby bringing Shame to him, but she didn't like them crawling to her feet.

She didn't know that courting toasting a woman would be this bothersome on the part of the woman.

She sighed, rubbing her head as she muttered some words.

"I am fine Milord, I am just tired." She said, praying he would let her be.

She didn't have the time to talk with anyone, and how she wished to bang Mel's head on a wheel.
