Sweet Words

I looked at my cell phone from time to time while I was in the conference room. I was with Dave and the others we were in a meeting.

When I received a text message again, I did not hesitate to read it even if another member saw me.

Shit!

I apologized to everyone and answered the call on my cell phone first.

"Ma'am Brii—"

"How's Davvy?"

“Ma’am, here she is. She's still hot, She doesn't want to eat and she's looking for you.”

I sigh. “All right, I'm going home. I will say goodbye to the meeting first. Bye.”

When I dropped the call, I just peeked into the conference room and then motioned for Dave to come to me first. He excused and left.

"Where is your phone?" I ask him.

His forehead wrinkled. “In the office, I left it there. Why?”

“That's why you don't know. Anyway, will you excuse me from this meeting? I will go home first.”

“Why? Where?” his question is puzzling.

“In your house, where else? Where’s your car key? May I borrow it? I'm going home because Davvy has a fever. R
