Aidan and Elliot were sleeping in their room while I baked a chocolate cake for them in the morning. I put the cake in the refrigerator and turned to the door. I stopped when I heard noises out of the door.
I couldn't stop thinking about him. We were going out on a business trip. How would I rein my feelings? He was drawing me closer to him. It scared me. I was feeling messed up. I shook my head. I needed to stop mulling over him. It felt as if I didn't know anything but to think about him.
