Levi’s steps halted. He turned to look at Arista, his gaze profound. “So you want to die?” He said, “I’ll grant your wish.” He reached out, his sharp claws gleaming under the light of the Night Pearl.

Arista, seeing his eyes, whiffled her hand, “No no no, you misunderstood, calm down...”

Arista took a step back, but felt the ground, which had just been solid, suddenly become soft. She looked down, realizing the path she had walked had turned mushy like mud, soft as cotton, and her feet had sunk into the mire.

Arista dared not scream anymore. Her first reaction was to pull Levi’s arm, “Big demon, pull me out.”

Alpha Levi remained indifferent. “Didn’t you just criticize me for not being ruthless enough?”
