Chapter 56: Angel pov

Something cold and wet touches my nose drawing me out of my deep sleep. I raise my hand to wipe it as it was beginning to irritate me but then the cold thing is back.

Forcing my eyes to open I note that the room is quite light so the sun must be up and then my gaze focuses on what is in front of me. I am met by a big black wet nose and a long pink tongue making me chuckle.

“Morning Lobo.”

I stretch out my hand to scratch behind his ears and he pants happily. I feel some weight around my waist and as I move it shifts to hold me tighter.

“Mmmff go back to sleep.”

Comes a groggy complaint from behind me and I chuckle some more.

“I think Lobo is hungry.”

“Mmmmrrr, he can wait.”

“How shocking. You cannot allow him to go hungry because you are sleepy.”

I try to lift his arm so I can get up, but he tightens his grip further.

“No, stay.”

I freeze at his words remembering how desperate he seemed last night when he asked me to stay after I said I needed to leave. But my body decides
