Chapter 33

I would have dropped to the floor if Trev had not scooped me up and sat me on the couch. That man's words began to circle around and around in my head until I could not hear anything else. A small tap on my face brought my dazed gaze to Trev's furious one. I could tell he was talking, but I couldn't make out anything he was saying. Suddenly a hard tap on my face jerked me out of the daze. I raised my hand to my stinging cheek and looked up to see Kevin standing over me with the same furious look on his face.

That was until Trev jumped up and slammed Kevin into the far wall.

"Don't fucking hit her, you bastard!" Trev growled violently.

"Trev, she was going into shock. I had to snap her out of it and your little love taps weren't doing it," Kevin challenged him.

"Who the hell do you think you are? The fucking Master of the world!"

I jumped up and grabbed Trev's arm. "Trev! It's okay! I'm fine!"

"I don't give a shit! There's no reason to hit a woman!"
