Chapter 117

ARABELLA POV

The nurse standing before me looked away. I don’t blame her one bit. Not everyone would be inclined to offer themselves up as a test subject when seeing that the previous tests had reacted badly in the other person. Still, I needed to prove my theory right. Someone was setting it up, but whom? No one had access to the drugs except the nurse guard that I kept in charge, and she was staring right at me.

“Are we going to do the test or not?” Dr. Edward prompted.

Sighing, I took one of the tablets on the table. They were sectioned into two parts; the ones that were here and the ones that I had taken outside to share. I liked that Nancy had carefully differentiated the two, so at least I could know where the fault was coming from.

I went to one of the lab subjects we have in the hospital, which so happened to be in the storage room but behind a door. I opened the door and brought out a cage containing a rat. We have plenty of them for newbie doctors who want to do experiments
