CHAPTER 17

VALERIE'S POV

"Who's that guy?" I asked, already getting impatient because of his silence.

"Just someone I know," he replied, avoiding eye contact.

I glared at him with so much intensity, like I had plans of murdering him..

"Okay ok, I will explain. '' He said, smiling lightly.

"Good, go on," I replied eagerly.

"The guy you saw earlier is Sam, my ex. He was my first ever boyfriend when I realized I was gay. During the first few weeks of our relationship, it was so perfect it felt like a dream. Well that was until it all came crashing down on our third month together. Sam became too obsessive and abusive. He didn't want me out of his sight and followed me every time during the few times I went out of the apartment we shared, we were roommates. I was just a confused college freashmen then, excited and curious about everything. Sam was in his third year at that time" Gabe said.

"Oh my God- that must have been really tough on you, I can already imagine how bad it must have been
