Chapter 7

“Now that you know, do you want to divorce me?” Octaviu asked as he looked at the little girl in front of him.

He had thought that she was mature enough when he first saw her ugly face which was full of heavy makeup and looked hilarious but now staring at her fair white face which seemed flawless, he knew that he was wrong.

Not to mention her age which he saw when submitting their certificates in the registrar's office.

Rhiannon looked at her with watery big eyes as she blinked innocently.

“I have already married you or do you want me to become a divorcee at such a young age?” she asked in a soft tone making Octavious speechless while the driver was shocked by her boldness.

“If Mrs Rodriguez wants to be a divorcee, I don’t think Mr Rodriguez can refuse,” Octavius answered making Rhiannon speechless.

Why doesn’t he follow the rules? She wondered as she glared at him before averting her eyes.

Octavius saw her behavior and didn’t say anything.

To him, she was just his wife by name but he promised himself that he could give her everything she needed if she played her role well. Now seeing her behaving like a kid, he wondered whether he had made a mistake in marrying her but when her innocent face and big watery eyes came into his mind, he shocked the regret away and felt that his days ahead wouldn’t be as dull as it always was.

‘Since he doesn’t live here, I am sure that I will be left alone when he goes back to his city. I just can’t believe that this place will be all mine!’ Rhiannon said as she sighed as understood the difference between super rich and being rich.

To her, she didn’t have an eighth of the properties Octavius had. She even suspected that the mansion in front of her costed all the money she had in her bank account together with accessories and the apartments under her name.

“Aren’t you going to get out of the car? Or what do you think about this time?” Octavius asked as he tapped the car window bringing Rhiannon back to reality.

Hearing his words, Rhiannon looked at Octavius with hatred as she wondered when she would get the chance to take a trip around the house when he wasn’t present.

Octavius was taken aback by her look and didn’t know what to say.

Rhiannon got out of the car and walked in front of Octavius without waiting for him to lead the way.

“Well, it seems that she has already taken the role of the house’s madam,” the driver said.

His words fell on Octavius making him sigh as he agreed with the driver but didn’t say anything. He just followed his wife in the house.

Rhiannon stood at the door and waited for Octavius as she knew that it wasn’t right to go in without him even though she had walked in front of him,

“What? I thought that you knew this house too well for you to walk in front of me. I am tired and still feeling dizzy. Don’t forget that I just got discharged. I need to rest,” Rhiannon said in a serious yet weak tone making Octavius pity her.

“Okay,” he said as he rang the bell.

The door was opened by a middle-aged man.

“Sir, welcome back,” the man said and Octavius hummed in response.

“This is my wife, Rhiannon Rodriguez. She will be living here with us. You need to take good care of her,” Octavius introduced Rhiannon.

“This is my butler, Alfred,” he added.

Alfred looked at the lady who was next to his young master and was astonished at how beautiful she was but what he was worried about was whether Rhiannon was of age since she looked underage.

“Hello Mr Alfred,” Rhiannon greeted him in with a polite smile making her seem so radiant and youthful.

“No need to address me in such a formal way when you are my boss also. Call me Uncle Alfred just the same way Octavius addresses me,” Alfred said with an embarrassed look.

“Okay uncle,” she said when he saw the look on his face.

“She needs to rest as has just been discharged from the hospital. Prepare some meals for her to take after a few hours or when she wakes up,” Octavius said as he walked in.

“Madam please,” Alfred said as he gestured Rhiannon to walk in.

“Thank you, uncle,” Rhiannon said as she walked in.

“Okay, young master. Is there anything that I should specifically prepare?” Alfred asked.

Octavius looked at Rhiannon waiting for her to answer the question as he knew that Alfred knew his liking too well.

“Uhm, everything is fine. Octavius, can I eat before I go to rest? I am famished!” she said in a low tone and an embarrassed look on her face while she was holding Octavius' right arm.

Alfred looked at Rhiannon with a worried look as he knew that his young master hated making contact with other people.

“Okay. I think that that might also work so that no one would disturb you when you are doing your things,” Octavius said as he patted her head as he understood her.

He had woken her very early in the morning and knew that she might be hungry as she didn’t eat enough in the morning.

All these fell in Alfred’s eyes and he was shocked at the scene in front of him.

As one of the few people who are always on Octavius' side, he knew well whether Octavius was in a relationship or not thus when the latter came with a woman and introduced her as a wife, he knew in his heart that the two of them must have a made a deal but he wasn’t quite sure of it.

“Alfred, I am sure that you have heard what she has said. Prepare the meals, I will take her upstairs to show her the bedroom,” Octavius said as he walked toward the stairs.

“Okay young master,” Alfred said.

Rhiannon was shocked at how luxurious the house and its interior design were but not so shocked as she had once entered such a mansion when she had attended a banquet.

She hurriedly followed Octavius as the latter was walking faster making her cussed inwardly as she also regretted not having long legs like him.

“What are you planning on doing next?” Octavius said as he was curious.

“Revenge. It will be starting tomorrow. I will make them regret everything,” she said coldly making Octavius look at her with a serious move.
