Chapter 30 – Her Response

Alice tossed and turned on the bed. She tried many times to sleep but she just couldn’t. Her mind kept changing its stance. She should come up with a final answer. Maybe then, her mind would stop bothering her.

When Conrad left her unit, she did cry. Silently. Then, she realized he would still hear her sobs, no matter how much she suppresses them. She openly cried, then.
