Chapter Twenty Five

Monique asked me to come to her birthday party next week. She’ll be having a beach party in Puerto Galera.

She did not stop until I said yes.

“We will go shopping tomorrow, you want to come?” Monique asked.

“I have work tomorrow. Sorry.” I answered, remembering Jessy’s schedule.

“Aww. But that’s okay. I think our sizes are just the same. I’ll buy you a nice bikini.” She giggled and hugged me.

“My girl is sexier than you. Flat.” Jacob snorted.

“Mom! Jacob’s being an ass again!” Monique pouted and tried to hit him.

I laughed when their mother scolded them.

“I’m sorry about these kids, Cindy. Girls let’s go, so Jacob and Cindy can rest. It's late already.” Their Mother said and kissed both of my cheeks. “I’m so happy to finally meet you. I’ll see you next week?” She said.

“Yes Ma’am.” I answered and looked at Jacob.

“Hija, call me Tita Melissa. Jacob, be nice to her. I like her." She smiled and got in the van.
