Chapter Seventy four

"Twin sister?" I found myself asking in disbelief.

I set my bowl of blueberries down on the table and kept my hands akimbo while both of them watched me closely.

"Are you cheating on me and trying to cover it up with a flimsy lie?" I questioned with a frown, staring straight at Damien who scowled at my statement.

"Why would I lie to you about something so sensitive?" He sounded really annoyed and my firm resolve shook a little bit.

"Where were you yesterday?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.

"I went out." He gritted out.

"Where exactly were you?"

"Out." He stated nonchalantly.

We had a stare down that lasted for I don't know how long before Amy butted in.

"For goodness sake! Damien just tell her that you were with me." She groaned out, pinching on the bridge of her nose with a tired sigh and an eye roll.

"Well if she wants to believe that I'm cheating on her, why not let her do it?!" He raged and marched into the house, stunning me to silence.
