Chapter 23

Dhruv's POV

I wake up with the morning rays inviting my eyes. 

Finally, it's happening. I didn't expect that girl Meera to accept the contract. I can see the pain in her eyes and the hate she holds for me. She thinks that she can put up that facade,but that's where she goes wrong. 

You don't play in front of the master player thinking that you can win. 

Smirking over my thought, I move out of my bed and reach out for the glass of water kept for me by Lia,beside my bed. 

Sipping in the lukewarm water, I stand in front of my glass door that leads to the balcony. The view from here is refreshing. It reminds me how small the world is and how I stand above the race, holding the leash of those struggling ants who call themselves human. 

After finishing my drink, I walk over my workout wardrobe and pull out my black track pants and grey hoodie.
