Chapter 6

The other students were silent as soon as the monst... master spoke which made the atmosphere even more tensed.

“C-cassine already said s-sorry to you. W-why did you have t-to hurt Cypress like t-that,” I stuttered as I managed to tell him my opinions on how he negatively uses his power.

Cypress is right, Ash should not become a jerk just because he is the queen’s son. I know I am just a mere half-ling who’s opinion is not counted but I just feel that Ash’s behavior for the past 16 years needed to be stopped.

“Who are you,” I almost dropped my jaw as soon as I heard him ask.

Did he just ask who I am or I am just deaf that I did not hear his voice clearly?

I mean, why would he ask that stupid question when we have seen each other almost every day and he even yelled my name in the morning?!

And now he is asking me who I am?!

‘Why, are you hoping that the future king could at least remember you because you are neighbors?’ I suddenly heard my inner mind which startled me.

Am I?

Impossible!

“Master, that is Myrtle I remember she is also in your class. She is a half-ling,” I heard a man from Ficus’ side explain.

“What a jerk,” I could only say while turning around to help Cypress stand up.

When I made sure that class president is all right I walked towards Cassine and was about to help her up too.

I however failed when Ficus suddenly stopped me.

“Listen half-ling just because we never bullied you, you would think that you can mess up with our rules. If not because of the master then you would have already b...”

“Shut up Ficus!” Ash suddenly exclaimed, interrupting Ficus’ statement.

I was still confused of what that minion was talking about in his latter statement when Ash showed up in front of me.

He continued to walk closer and closer which made me take back steps, trying to avoid him not until the table stopped me.

His lips instantly formed a grin as soon as his face got closer to mine.

I already could not hear the gossips around me because my heart’s beat were louder that I almost felt like I am going deaf.

Before I could even react his lips were already touching my ears while his warm breathe were trying to melt my knees down.

“If you really want to save your friends... meet me at the school’s entrance after class,” he continuously whispered before moving away.

Ack! Thank God, I was almost out of breathe because of him!

He then suddenly passed by the table’s side and left the canteen like nothing happened.

‘What did you just do Myrtle!’ I scolded myself after realizing what happened a while back.

I however immediately shook the thoughts away and run towards Cassine who is still kneeling.

“Are you okay?” I worriedly asked Cassine while helping her stand up but I can feel how scared she is from what happened a while ago.

Her usual fair skin turned pale that is as if she has seen a ghost somewhere.

She can not even stand up properly because her knees were trembling hard.

I felt really bad for turning a blind eye when she got in trouble earlier. If Cypress did not step up then what could have happened to her?!

I know how evil that master is especially when he has his minions so I can not imagine how Cassine would end up if Cypress did not help her.

But wait... where is Cypress?

“Oh my gosh, what is going to happen to the class president?”

“I do not know, Ficus and the other guys pulled him away while following master Ash. I just hope that they will not do something very terrible to him.”

“Oh noooo...”

I heard the other student’s conversation from the other table.

I was about to run and find where they brought Cypress but I also could not leave Cassine alone in this state.

She may have been really surprised that she still can not speak right now.

Oh sh*t it is time for class.

“Can you walk?” I asked Cassine and felt relieved after she nodded her head in response.

A few more minutes has passed and we managed to arrive at the class room on time.

However, I did not saw Cypress in his chair neither that monst... master.

I really wanted to run outside and look for them but our subject teacher suddenly showed up.

All I could right now was impatiently wait for the time and pray that Cypress would be alright.

After hours of boring lectures the time that I have been waiting has finally arrived. I immediately run towards the door and went to look for a possible place where they would be in.

‘The old gym,’ I whispered in my mind and run towards there.

“Myrtle!”

“Cypress?” I confusedly asked after seeing him come out of the clinic with his left arm bandaged.

“Where are you going?” He asked.

“Uh.. I was about to look for you but...”

My statement was then suddenly interrupted after Cypress hugged me tightly.

“U-uh.”

“Thank you,” he said.

“For what?”

”You know, because I have seen how you grew. Now I know you will be a great leader,” he excitedly explained which even more confused me.

“What are you...”

“H-hey!” I exclaimed after someone suddenly dragged me.

I was walking backwards so I can not see the person who was pulling me from behind, the only thing I know is that he is so strong that I can not even fight.

After a while we finally stopped at a parking lot?

“Why did you take me... Ash?” I asked in confusion after I turned around to see who the jerk that pulled my collar and almost choke me to death.

“Get in the car,” he seriously instructed after opening a car’s door.

“Wait, who’s car is...?”

“Get in the car!”
