Chapter 30

She waves her hand across his face. Did it again and again and when she was sure that indeed he was asleep, she sighed and for some odd reason, waited to stare at him as he snored quietly.

She studied all the contours of his face without interruption or he grumbling about not liking to be looked at. Somehow, it soothed her nerves after what happened in the hall.

Deciding to stay up so that he could sleep, she went to pick her laptop to write a review on a high school book she read.

Then she bought new ones on Amazon and jumped into one whose title and cover captivated her at glance.

Hours into reading, she noticed him beginning to stir. He picked a pillow and hugged it close.

Thinking that he might be feeling cold, she got up to close the windows and put off the air conditioner.
