CHAPTER SIX

Evvie’s POV:

I opened my eyes abruptly when a sudden wave of anger swept over me.

“Gabriel.” I growled, surprised by the strength of my voice.

Gabriel, Zachary, Ethan, and I were high school best friends. We were inseparable, and I have been in the group since I was introduced to junior year as Ethan’s little sister. They protected me from bullies who felt that I do not deserve their princess treatment.

We always had each other’s back. But my face darkened at the thought of Gabriel.

I finished showering and went back to my room. I pulled out my phone from the back pocket of my old jeans and went straight to Messages.

I started texting Gab.

You:

What the f*ck is this Gab?

Gab:

Look, it’s done. It’s pack rules and you know it, Evvie.

You:

We’ve been friends since high school, Gab. How could you?
