I watched Zander and Raven dance on the dancefloor. I smiled at them and leaned back in my chair, looking around.

Zane and Emily were smooching.

They didn’t seem to care that they were in a garden full of people.

Alaric was busily arguing with Skylar, his pregnant she-wolf.

Everyone was happy and, even if Alaric wasn’t, he still had a child on the way. They all had someone by their side. They had everything they wanted. Be it a kid or a mate, but I did not. My life was lacking in both aspects.
