Chapter 38 - Sarael

He can’t really mean it. He can’t genuinely say he loves me. We’ve only known each other for a short time, and in that time we’ve only spent a couple of days together. Hell, we’ve only been on one date. Sure, in that time, we’ve learned a lot about each other. He certainly knows more about my past than any boyfriend I’ve ever had. That includes my very first boyfriend back in Cairo when I was fourteen. 

And as much as I want to continue to argue, to give him all the reasons he shouldn’t and couldn’t love me, I can’t. This man, he’s from another time or planet. I don’t know. But no one talks the way he does. Or at least no one I’ve ever met does. All these sweet words have me feeling light-headed. Light-headed and horny as hell.
