Chapter 31:Pain

My blood was running cold.

Have you felt yourself drowning so deep in darkness that you couldn’t find the strength to pull yourself out of it? That was what I was feeling.

It had been 2 hours since my mate was unconscious and since I brought Emily to the hospital and no one was telling us anything.

The doctors and nurses were running in and out of Emily’s room . As each second passed, I was filled with dread .

Our mate bond was turning colder and colder .

It was as if Emily was there and wasn’t there at the same time.

Blaze couldn’t contact or connect with Lea and the feeling of them being gone was straining the mate bond .

I paced up and down outside the door waiting for the doctors to tell us something… even if it was bad news .

But all they did was to run in and out of the room.

I was growing impatient and as soon as the doctor came out of her room, I grabbed him by the throat.

“ What is going on in there? What are you doing to my mate, “ I growled as Axel took over.
