Chapter 6: Raven on the ran

"Where is she? Where is that disgraceful girl?" My dad's voice boomed as his heavy footsteps echoed.

"In her room."

"Get her!" he growled.

"It's bad, Jess. Something terrible happened and Giselle is after my life and soon the Alpha and the warriors will be here to kill me. We have to go!" I huffed.

Concern for me swarm in Jess’ eyes and she didn't object. I opened the window and threw the bag out before climbing and jumping out of the room.

Jessica followed, she shifted into her grey wolf, Beth and we darted towards the woods. For the first time in my life, I was thankful for living in the maids room on the first floor.

I didn't know where we were heading to. All I had, was to depend on my childhood memory of the pack grounds.

I inhaled, bringing a gush of icy wind into my lungs. We ran through the forest towards the border which had few warriors and we were lucky to have our scents concealed by the falling snow. My legs were starting to hurt and my muscles felt tired and w
