After seeing how the three of them left to do what was necessary, we were left alone with Vicenzo in Marie’s office.

He, sensing my discomfort, asks me. “What’s up, babe?”

I look at him nervously for a few moments and then I tell him. “It worries me that Matt is here. Honestly, Vincenzo, I don’t want to see him.”

He nods as he says. “Well, don’t see him. No one can force you to do what you don’t want to do.”

I nod in silence. Then I sigh and tell him. “I have a hypothetical question.”

He looks at me seriously, as he says. “I hear you.”

“If I wanted to disappear, I mean, go out of the country, with no one knowing, how do I do it?”

I see how he smiles at my questions, then he says. “I see you’ve made your decision, baby. It doesn’t have to be hypothetical.”

I bite my lip and can’t help but look guilty. He adds. “It is easy. If you want to disappear and only some people are aware, it can be done. Now, baby, everyone in American society knows your name. To disapp
