An Outburst

[Knight’s POV]

Pain shoots through, consuming every inch of me. It fucking hurts, but not as bad as the thought of losing the one that means so much to me, and if I didn’t wake the fuck up, there was a good chance she was going to be gone forever. I couldn't let that happen, not after I decided that I would do whatever it took to keep her by my side for the rest of eternity.

Pushing against the darkness that tries to hold me, I fight, clawing at the tiny sliver of light that I see just ahead. I just know if I reach it, then I'll wake up, and she will be there waiting for me.

How long? How fucking long had I been out because of that bastard Massimo? I didn’t know, but I was going to make sure he paid, and if that meant making Tatiana cry, so be it.

‘Come on,’ I hiss as the light begins to grow bigger. ‘That’s it. Just a little more and...'

Before the final word can escape, the pain I’m feeling intensifies, and when my eyes shoot open, I find that I’m surrounded by the nomads. Their fac
