Chapter Seven (A tumultuous feeling)

CHASE LUCAS POV

I had left Maureen and Oliver because there was a chance that I would say something I'd end up hating myself for.

And it did not help that when I was furious, it was a fight I wanted. Oliver was never a match for me. He'd bleed so badly until Lucas would have to interfere himself.

Everytime I fought him, I proved to him who was older and he never wanted to fight.

This was the one thing that I could throw jibes at him over and he'd lose his calm. But I didn't like being the one to throw taunts. That was easily something he enjoyed doing, not me.

I didn't have to think of it. By default, I was heading to the coffee shop that had been my favorite since I was a child.

Each time I had been angered enough to leave home, it was the same place that I headed to. There was a calming potency that the coffee carried and over the years, it had not changed.

There was one large door for accessing the inside of the coffee shop which now had another department, a drug store.
