60 The Duke's Mate

Cedric crossed his arms as he shrugged. The woman don’t speak. He don’t know the reason why and it wasn’t a good time to ask why she don’t speak. But they stayed at Paxton’s room and watched the lady expertly and gracefully pin the needles on his body.

“Is she a doctor?” Cedric asked the doctor who nodded.

“She’s a resident, expertise in herbs and pseudoscience. She’s a genius in class as well.”

“I see.” Cedric nodded as he looked at Lavinia watched the woman do that. She set a timer and stand straight. She remain her head down and she kept glancing at Paxton’s body.

Since the guy was so busy, he probably couldn’t get laid since he don’t look much at ladies. He was minding his business and focus on what’s important to him. Perhaps, this lady can stay.

“The lady can stay.” Cedric said. “I think we need her more to keep the Duke calm.”
