48: False hope

I exit the first door and run to the second to pull at it, but it is locked and I see no security in place. 

I pull at it repeatedly, but it won’t open. I groan and slam my palm against it, causing pain to shoot through my hand to the rest of my body, and I groan.

I hear a beep on the door and this time when I pull at it; it opens and just as I am about to step out; I hear. 

“Where do you think you’re going?” Avril demands, stepping out of the shadow that leads into the hall of the lighthouse and reveals herself in a long black gown and curly red hair which she let fall over her shoulders. I’d say she looks like an angel if I don’t already know the devil lives in her. 

“I need to leave, my...” I begin, but she doesn’t let me finish

“You have a thing for breaking the rules, don’t you?” she steps towards me, her displeasure on full display.
