Chapter Thirty-One

ENZO'S POV

After Gypsy walks out of my gym, I sink onto the bench, stunned by how much I've divulged to her.

The only people who know about what Gianna did are Lena, my PA, and Dante.

Speaking of which, it's been more than a week since Dante and I last spoke after the fiasco he pulled. I was expecting time to change his mind so that he'll come and apologize.

But so far, nothing. Not even a text.

Normally, I would've waited for him to call, but today, I feel like I don't have a choice.

I'm about to take a very important step with Gypsy, and I need my best friend by my side.

Getting up, I grab my phone from the couch and dial his number. It dials for a while before he finally picks up.

For several seconds, silence reigns, the both of us waiting for the other to speak.

“Hello.” I finally force myself to say.

“Hey,” Dante says back, his voice very cool. “What's up?”
