Fifty-Nine

A slight knock draws my attention to the door. I grimace, wondering who it is. A moment later, the door slowly opens to reveal Gypsy with an uncertain look on her face.

My guts twists with regret.

I can't believe I ignored her so much because of my concern for Gianna.

"Hey." She says, flashing me a small smile.

Returning her smile, I stretch out my hand to her. "Hey."

Gypsy takes my hands and I pull her to me, wrapping my arm around his waist.

"How is she doing?" She asks.

"The doctor said she's fine. Just stressed." I answer.

Gypsy nods. "I can imagine. After everything she went through."

I grit my teeth as I try to get rid of all the imaginations on what Gianna could've gone through.

"What happened?" Gianna asks, the bed creaking as she stirs awake.

She slowly blinks her eyes open and looks at Gypsy and me.

"You passed out while Enzo and Luca were fighting." Gypsy answers. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine." Gianna replies, slowly sitting up on the bed. "Thank you."
