Chapter 57: Welcome Party

LUCAS POV

“Hey granny,” I called, walking up to meet her. She had her handkerchief in her hands. “Granny, come on you know I didn't mean what I said, I'm sorry.”

“You meant every word you said, I'm being a pest? Right?” She asked as he sighed.

“Granny I didn't mean that and you're not a pest, you aren't trust me.”

“Granny you should believe him, he really means it.” Allysa said, coming to join us as granny gave a radiant smile.

“You had to speak sense into his head right? He's so silly.”

We all walked into the house as granny called the event planner and caterer. “We'll get some rest.” Allysa said as we walked up the stairs to our bedroom.

“You surprise me a lot you know.” I said as she turned to look at me.

“What do you mean?” She asked, walking deeper into the bedroom.

“You just helped me out there, it's nice that you're helping me out.” She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. “I couldn't see her sad so I had to put a smile on her face, don't ever think I did it for you.” My smile
