LUCAS POV

“Good day, Mr Jackson speaking, Allysa's husband.” The line went quiet immediately but I knew he was still on the line as I could hear him breathing.

“Yeah, how may I help you?” He asked and I sighed. “You prepared the divorce papers, right?” I asked.

“Yes I did, is something wrong?”

“No not at all, though I'm not signing it and you wasted your time but I'd like to ask you for a favor, my wife's missing and I can't find her, you definitely know where she is.” I said and head him sigh heavily.

“I really wished I knew but she refused to tell me, the only thing I know is that she rushed out of my office so she doesn't miss her flight.”

“Flight?” I asked.

“Yes and I don't think it's to any other states I think she left the country.” My heart sinked into the pit of my stomach as I staggered a bit.

“Meaning she should be on the plane now heading to God knows where.” I closed my eyes as I felt the tears coming again.
