Aria was afraid to open her eyes. She woke up in Prince Zane's arms. it felt like the sort of dream she always stopped herself from having because she wanted to be able to control her feelings for Prince Zane.

Prince Zane was awake. Aria could feel his soft breath close to her face. his thumb softly rubbing her skin, as though it was a natural habit.

"I know you are awake." Prince Zane said softly.

Aria didn't know what to say as she looked into his blind gaze. things felt different between them, but Aria couldn't risk her heart to guess how different things had become.

"Can you see me?" Aria asked, wondering if her question was okay. what if he wanted to forget about last night and pretend like nothing happened?

Prince Zane moves his blind gaze toward the light that is already fighting its way through the curtain. Aria didn't realize how long she had been asleep until her eyes followed him. how was it that he was still with her? The prince Zane she knew, would have rushed of
