Sofia’s POV

“Ma’am?” She echoed as she turned her head until she was staring at me. I breathed out an exasperated sigh and resisted the urge to throw my arms around as I started to speak almost immediately. “It’s Sofia, and not ma’am.” I said to her firstly, watching as she stared at me confusingly for a few moments before realization started to cross her face in the next moment.

“Oh, I’m sorry ma’am, I mean Sofia.” She breathed out and I huffed out another slow breath, feeling tired because no matter all what I had said to Matilda about me preferring if I was being referred to as Sofia, and not ma’am or Mrs Ricci, like they had wanted to start referring to me as, immediately they sighted me, the very next day after I had gotten married.
