Sofia’s POV “Sofia?” Matilda whispered out in a soft voice after a few minutes of the sitting room rendered in complete silence after I had started crying. I picked up the glass of water and took a small sip, wincing a little when my throat hurt in retaliation almost immediately, right before I set the bottle back on the counter and reached for the packed drugs sitting a few feet away from my glass of water. Sofia’s POV I could remember the cake tasting like sand on my tongue on that day and how I had washed it down with the fruity champagne on the table.
