Sofia’s POV

Once he had given me permission, I proceeded to ask him if I could have a room for myself, for paintings and the like, to avoid messing up anyplace apart from the room I’d be given.

I had also been surprised when he didn’t try to argue with me and had just accepted and informed me that he’d give me a room downstairs.

I puffed out a small breath, a tiny smile playing across my face as I started to turn back around and make my way up the stairs. Once I got up the stairs, I pushed the bedroom door open and got into it before pushing the door close behind me and wincing a little when it had closed way too loudly behind me.

I patted my pants pockets for my phone and felt my heart skip a beat on finding my pockets empty. I glanced around the room and quickly glanced towards the bed side table of my side of the bed to find the table empty of my phone. I quickly started to rack my brains before remembering that my phone was on one of the couches in the sitting room, and that I
