I knock on Dad's door and waited patiently for him to open the door. I came to inform him about the trip. I thought it will only make sense if I tell him.

Ever since yesterday evening after the incident, I've not set my eyes on him. He was the only one who didn't bother to talk to me. I guess, he understood that I need some time for myself.

He opened the door and looked shocked. For the first time in my entire life of living with him, I've never seen this reaction from him. He has never acted like this before. He's always calm no matter what the situation might be.
