Chapter 30

Mia’s Point of View

Laying on the floor of her bedroom floor there was a knock on her door. She didn’t answer. But the knocks got louder and louder.

“Mia! Please open the door. I know it is against tradition to see the bride before the wedding, but I have already seen you. There was a missed call from you, and I tried calling back but you didn’t answer. I need to know that you are okay.” Aspen’s voice was gentle but harsh.

“Go away!” I spoke, my voice quivering.

“Mia Catharine, you will open this door now. Or I will break it down. Your choice.” He said with anger.

“Oh, my fucking gosh! Fine.” I started to get irritated. Moving away from the door. Unlocking it, Aspen came marching in. Scanning the room, he saw me sitting on the ground. My eyes were puffy from all the crying.

“Mia.” He said while kneeling. “Why didn’t you call me again? Is everything alright?” He asked with a concerned look on his face.
