Chapter Twenty-Five- Starting All Over.

Damian had sensed the tension between Layla and Debra earlier and he wanted to know, “What was that about?” he asked immediately they called into the elevator and the door was shut.

Layla could not tell him that Debra was one of the people who took delight in bullying her in school, and she knows better than to lie to him so she kept mute.

“ You know I will still find out even if you don’t tell me right?”

“ Fine,” Layla agreed. He could find out by himself but she wasn’t going to tell him. Damian found Layla’s response strange and wished she could just tell him and save him the stress of investigating.

“ I thought you would be nice enough to give me full detail about what happened after using me out there,” Damian said in a slightly disappointed tone.

Layla wanted to nag, how could he pin it all on her as if he didn’t enjoy it? Lifting her head and seeing that he was really disappointed, she felt guilty.

“ I’m sorry,” she said in a remorseful tone.
