All my life, I’ve heard people say how difficult it is to adjust to new societies. But they were mostly talking about moving to other countries or moving to a different class level. Yet still, I understand them, even more so because I’m trying to adjust to not only a different class and society, it’s also a different race and one could even say a different country.

The Silver City was amazing, I won’t deny that. It is a breathtaking masterpiece of modern design. One doesn’t expect a place hidden away from the world to have towering skyscrapers that punctuate the skyline. These sleek, silver-clad giants reach dizzying heights, their reflective surfaces mirroring the surrounding landscape and giving the city an ethereal glow. One of these buildings was the palace.
