The dinner seemed to last an eternity. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Becketts conclude Leopold and I are in no way together, let alone engaged to each other. I hold back a yawn. I didn’t get much sleep last night with all of our chatting and getting to know each other. I reluctantly go with Mary Alice to ‘The Bride Couture’, the place is the definition of elegance. I’m intimidated the second I step in. I feel so out of place in here and I fear even the shop assistants know I don’t belong in here just by looking at me. I go into the apartment trying to make as little noise as I can. Lunch with Constance turned into a day at a spa and then dinner and cocktails. Mary Alice is a really agreeable girl, I had a lot of fun today pretending to be her fake “future sister-in-law.”Now it’s almost one o’clock in the morning, I don’t want to wake Leopold up. I walk to my room discretely. At least tomorrow is Saturday so I don’t have to worry about waking up early for work.

When I arrive at our apartment, Eddie is not here, only his mess. I clean up a little bit, put his clothes in the washing machine and I do the dishes. For some reason most of its employees are men and they all wear suits, I have no idea why they dress like that, but I like it, it gives the place a sense of elegance. Tonight we are going to Leopold’s best friend's birthday party. I’m panicking in my room about what to wear. Nothing I have seems to be good enough. According to Leopold, this is not a formal party, it is more like a gathering with friends, but I still feel nervous about my appearance. Being the fake fiancée of a rich guy means that a lot of eyes will be on me ready to judge every little detail about my looks and my behavior, and I don’t think I’ll pass the test.
