Chapter 24

(Harper’s POV)

Colton picked me up and put me on the bed. I laid there crying with him curled around me stroking my hair and whispering that it was going to be ok. I was getting whiplash from his personality shifts, but even though he was the one who was making me so upset, his scent still gave me some comfort and I clung to that comfort. 

At some point in the evening, I fell asleep and when I woke up again, it was pitch black. I stumbled around for a light, once again cursing the need for table lamps, and eventually found the wall switch. I had no idea what time it was and no idea where my phone was. I hadn’t taken it to the pack dinner and had left it in my room. But a quick look around told me that it wasn’t here anymore. I could only assume that Colton had taken it. I sighed and went to open the door to ask him. The handle turned, but the door didn’t move. I was locked in. I pulled on t
