Chapter 53 - What I find out

"Normally I would ask if this was really necessary, but knowing the circumstances this seems like the right course of action." I say as I stand next to Dominican on the porch while we watch his man install security cameras around the house.

"Since you insisted on not returning to my place, we have to make yours more safe." He says as the sounds of the drill make me shut my eyes, I hate loud buzzing sounds. "So we installed the alarm and the cameras, that pretty much settles it."

As soon as I say this Domenic removes his hand from my back and stands before me. His face tells me he has more in store for me.

"I know you don't like the idea of being followed but I'm not ok with you walking around unprotected so I rehired your bodyguard." He lifts up his hand and the man steps out of the car and starts walking towards us.

"Not this again." I would feel safer with this guy but I'm sure he will report everything to Domenic and right now I had things I needed to do without him knowing.
