50: Chased

"Hey, I thought you'll never come back!"

Kiel greeted Talia with a hug but she did not even bother to hug him back. Kiel and Plian looked at each other, then Plian nodded his head, motioning him to understand what she is feeling. Just like what she said, wait until Talia is ready to talk to him.

"Anyway, I cooked your favorite food," Kiel muttered and guided Talia to go to the dining table. Foods there is already prepared even the plate, glass and utensils. The dining table was just lacking of Talia's presence.

"Thanks," she thanked him when he guided her to sit on the chair. Kiel was a bit surprised because she sounded so cold, he look so cold. Her expression is saying something they can not even define. All they know is that she is not in the mood. She is in pain, and anger.

Plian left the two in the dining table. She said that she has her own house and she will be taking her dinner there. She does not want to ruin the moment of the couple especially that they were not in good terms. They are in quarrel that Kiel does not even know how to make up.

"Hey, try this," Kiel said and suggested a food to Talia. She say nothing when he put portion of food, making Kiel to smile. "I know you will love that. Plian made me help her cook and she suggested the foods that you might love."

"Yeah," she just nodded to what he said, not giving him a look. Kiel sighed in subtlety and just wagged his head, trying to remind himself that he will wait until she will talk to him herself. He will never force her to do something she does not like.

Just like what they used to, they ate in the dining table silently. Kiel did not know how to start a conversation so he just made himself shut. Even when they lay their bodies in the bed, Talia did not say goodnight to him.

"Good morning," Talia read what she saw in the note in the side table. She woke up without Kiel beside her and it made her heart beats fast. She saw a tray of breakfast beside the note that somehow made her smile.

She drink water first and took the food. Then she stood up to get out from the room. She was surprised to see petals of roses in the floor, heading to the ground floor then outside the house. She followed the petals until it stopped in the garden where there are umbrellas around and small table with wines and food in the table.

Talia roamed her eyes around to look for Kiel but she did not saw him, even his shadows. She bit her lower lip, feeling guilty because she did not talk to him last night. She let each other to sleep without peace in their mind.

She walked towards the table but stopped when suddenly, she stepped into something that made classical music around to play. She stopped herself from smiling when she saw Kiel slowly walking towards her direction, different flowers in his hand. He was staring at her while he was slowly walking to make the scene more romantic.

"Good morning, my love," Kiel greeted as soon as he stopped in front of her. He reached for her hand gently and kissed the back of her palm. Then, he put both of her hand above his shoulder and his hands encircling her waist.

"What is this?" she asked, smiling. "Good morning by the way."

"You had a great morning?" he asked, making her to nod her head. "Anyway, do not ask yet and let us have this moment. Just the two of us."

"All right," she said with a nod of her head. "Just the two of us, Kiel."

They started to dance with rhythm. They pressed their forehead together and closed their eyes. They do not know what the right emotion to feel but for Kiel, it is beyond gratefulness. He was like in cloud nine. He thought Talia will never mind him forever like he exists like air.

"I am sorry about yesterday," Talia stated while they are closing their eyes. "It was just that I am too driven with my emotion –"

"Shush," Kiel hushed and caressed her waist. "Don't mention that yet. It is the two of us, Talia. Just us, no problem, no quarrel, no madness. Just us..."

She chuckled. "Okay, that is way more better."

They continued to dance silently. Just like what Kiel said, they took the moment, just the both of them. It was just them without any problem facing, challenge that they are keeping to get through. Even just this time, it will be just them.

"Your foot hurts," said Kiel when he noticed Talia laughing at herself. "You are not used to dancing, is not it?"

"Yeah," she uttered and bit her lower lip. "It hurts a little."

"Sorry." Kiel kissed the top of her head and guided her to the table. They both sat there while the sunlight is hitting their area. It look so refreshing. With flowers and garden around, the sunlight, the foods and wine in the table – including healthy fruits and vegies.

"Why did you thought of this?" Talia asked, grinning. Kiel served a food for Talia. "I am just full anyway. Remember, you prepared my breakfast."

"Yeah, at least eat some," he said. "I decided to greet you with this because it might make you feel better, nature. And I wanted to end this quarrel. You know that I love you so much, right? Forever."

Talia beamed and held his hand that is on the table. "I am sorry about that. It was just that I am angry and in pain. The feeling is like making me to explode."

Kiel stared at her for a moment and clicks his tongue, stifling himself from smiling wide. "So, are we good now?"

"Yes," she said. "But in one condition."

"What is it?" he asked, smiling. It was like he won a lottery with a high cost. Nothing can beat his happiness in the current time. He and Talia are now cool, that he will not bear with her coldness anymore. The quarrel just started not day ago but it was like he was already dying.

"Get me to Hanz," she said, making Kiel to stop. Talia playfully put grape in her mouth and grinned to him. "Do not worry, Kiel. I will not attack him like you thought. I will talk to him with the calmest way I did not do to anyone yet."

"It's not that, Tal," he said. "I did not mention that you would attack."

"Yes, but that is the first thing I planned yesterday," she said, not sighing. "I even dreamt of killing him, stabbing him using a knife multiple times. And I am sorry for that."

Kiel stopped and sipped on his wine to remove the rock that seems to block his throat. "That was just a dream, nightmare I prefer. And yes, I will bring you to him. You can slap him, though. Hurt him as you want, he deserve that, I guess? I know you would not do the thing that is in your nightmare."

Talia chuckled. "I will not, I promise," she uttered and even raised her palm in her side shoulder, pledging.

"Good," Kiel agreed. "When will you meet him?"

"Later. I will interview him if that is just fine."

"Sure, captain. Anything you want." He bowed his head like he was her servant. "Let's get the justice you have been chasing since day one."
