Chapter 27
The next morning, i drop Theo off. I have put on jeans and flip flops.
He hasn't sent me the dresses, so I'm not wearing them until I have them.
I drive to work. Everyone eyes my footwear.It might be unprofessional, but I'm going to enjoy my heel free time.I walk into my office, and Aidan is sitting on my desk smirking. Around him are a bunch of shopping bags.
"Go on then." He smiles innocently.
"Your bag for today." He says, handling me a bag. I don't even want to look inside. I groan and walk to the bathroom to change.
I put out white Louis Vuitton stiletto heels. No! I groan and pit them onto my feet. I put my jeans and flip flops into the bag and walk out back into my office. Aidan is sitll sitting on the desk, looking through a file. He spins around at the sound of my heels. i almost tripped. Oops! Aidan's eyes widen.
"You clean up nice, Armstrong." He says. I glare at him. He just shrugs it off.
"The bet is oficially on Aidan." I smirk. He's not going to last a day. Never mind a whole two weeks, and the sad thing is, neither am I.
I got to work the next morning and tripped almost three times. I'm not proud of it, but it's true. Today, I'm wearing a grey dress, with black strap heels. They actually look really nice. Aidan has very good taste. Nevertheless, these heels are killing me and this dress prevents my free movement. It's driving me insane. I can't wait to get home and put on sweatpants and let my feet have a break.
Theo is staying with my parents for the next three days. They said they wanted to give me a break. It feels lonely though. Really lonely. The house is empty. Silence can be really loud. I keep waiting for the pitter-patter of his feet, or the squealing laughter which bounces around the house. The house is alive when he's in it.
I sigh and finish up my work. I got to fetch my exam results today. My graduation is on Wednesday next week, granted I have passed. I worked extremely hard, so there should not be a reason as to why I did it. i have invited everyone special to me to come, even Aidan is going to be there. He insisted, as he commented that he might be paying for my studies.
