“Can’t we just go in together?” Davien asked in a pleading tone and took Miranda’s hands in his in an attempt to convince. She shook her head.

“We may be together but you’re still my boss and I don’t want to let any outside energy ruin that. People already say stuff about us, and this will only confirm it,” she responded, going over to the coffee machine in the kitchen and preparing some for them both.
