"What's this acting for?" Nik growled and Ember and Rosy, who were secretly listening were startled to hear that.

"Nik!" Lily tried calling him, but her voice wasn't that audible even though she tried her best to speak.

"Nik! Nik!" she tried, but horribly failed in uttering a word clearly. She ran her hand on the bed for her mobile phone and luckily found it beside the pillow. She pressed the 'on' button and the sharp glare from the bright screen made her eyes squint.
