333. Healing

As Yohan approached the door, Yohan noticed it was ajar, and inside, Jemma was pouring water into a glass. Noah, appearing weak and pale, leaned back on the bed.

Yohan knocked on the door, and they both looked his way. Jemma flashed a smile, "Dad, why you just standing there? Come on in."

She handed Noah a glass of water as Yohan approached.

"You okay?"

Noah sighed, nodding. Then he glanced at Jemma, "Jemma, can you give us a moment alone?"

Jemma nodded, "Sure."

"Close the door."

She left, shutting the door behind her. Yohan took a seat near the bed, locking eyes with his son.

Noah sniffed, sensing his father had a lot on his mind about the whole ordeal.

"Did you off Leslie Winkle?"

Noah nodded, "Yeah, she's the one who messed with Mom's car, and Aunt Gracie paid the price."

"You didn't think to talk to me before pulling such a stunt."

"You could've talked me out of it."

"This war ain't yours."

"Wasn't yours either. But you've been fighting it."
