50. You must have missed me
Bruno's hands started shaking, and the file slipped from his grasp. Peter's laughter echoed in the room, and Bruno's face turned pale.
"This can't be possible," Bruno whispered weakly.
Peter sat in front of Bruno.
"Years ago, you picked up my own son from outside the court Bruno Dixon and gave him to your wife. Neel is my son."
Fear gripped Bruno.
"All the reports were conducted at your Dixon Hospital. If you want, you can investigate it. After reading the reports, you'll see that Neel's DNA matches mine, not yours."
Slowly, Bruno began to understand Peter's motive behind revealing the truth.
"I can give you as much money as you want. Just spare my family, please," Bruno pleaded, his voice trembling.
Peter's gaze turned serious, his Don-like demeanor resurfacing.
"Bruno Dixon, do you think I'm still that money-extorting guy? I am Peter Winkle now. The rising sun of the underworld. I have plenty of money and power."
