Osiris observed Summer's distant gaze, curiosity getting the better of him. "Hey, you seem lost in thought. Everything alright?"

Summer blinked, momentarily taken aback before offering a faint smile. "Yeah, sorry. Just got lost in my own head for a moment there."

He leaned back, his demeanor casual. "Well, if you're willing to share, I'm all ears."

She hesitated, as if weighing whether to open up or not. Then, with a sigh, she met his gaze and spoke candidly. "I need the money. My savings took a hit. You see, Legacy and I had a joint account, and he used it all up for gambling."

Osiris' eyebrows shot up in surprise. He hadn't expected that revelation. A mixture of understanding and concern washed over his face. "Seriously? That's... I'm sorry to hear that."

Summer shrugged nonchalantly, though her eyes held a hint of frustration. "Well, it's a lesson learned the hard way. But hey, that's why I'm back on the job hunt."

The silence that followed carried the weight of unspoken thoughts.
