65. Gun wound

“Cover me” Kayden whispered, taking his gun out. They had reached the place where they suspected Christopher was kept. There was only one way they could enter the place – the front door. The entire area was covered by thick bushes which paved their hiding efforts. Max rushed to Kayden from the other side.

“He is in there. I can see him” he passed the binoculars to Kayden who saw Christopher tied to a chair. Christopher was yelling at the goons standing around him. Kayden had never seen his brother so helpless and it only boiled his blood.

As Kayden and Max crouched in the dense foliage, their senses heightened with adrenaline and anticipation, the tension in the air was palpable. The rustle of leaves, the distant sound of Christopher's voice, and the ominous presence of the goons lurking nearby all added to the urgency of their mission.
